Tree Huggers? Not so much.

We never really saw environmentalism as central to the mission of the labor-backed Working Families Party, and a big red sign we noticed on Seventh Avenue in Park Slope kind of confirmed that for us.

It wasn’t so much the text of the poster, which was recruiting organizers in part to stop “the Bush Administration’s attack on the environment.”

It was more that the sign was stapled to a tree.
