Eliot Spitzer’s official comment on Pataki’s retirement is on the Attorney General’s web site, not his other site.

A call over there directed us to the right spot to find Spitzer’s comment:

“Governor Pataki has been a dedicated public servant for many years and I join all New Yorkers in thanking him. In my time as Attorney General we have worked together to represent the interests of the people of this state. I look forward to working with him for the remainder of his term and wish him all the best in the future.”

Ah, the future.
