Freddy Still Under 40

In a new Quinnipiac poll, released this morning, Freddy was still shy of the 40 percent he needs to avoid a Democratic primary runoff.

He took 33 percent. Trailing him, the other candidates clustered tightly: Giff and Virginia netted 17 percent each, and Anthony got 16 percent.

Meanwhile, the mayor picked up a 64 percent approval rating, just one point below his all-time high in February 2002.
