Weld Against “Partial-Birth” Abortion

Say this for Bill Weld: he’s getting all that painful, er, shifting of positions out of the way early.

First, there was gay marriage, which he supported in Massachussetts. New York, it appears, isn’t quite ready for the idea.

And now he seems to oppose the procedure that critics call “partial-birth” abortion, a stance directly at odds with things he’s said in the past.
