About a Boy

For a second, it seemed like Larry Silverstein, the developer of the World Trade Center, was about to break some news. At a breakfast panel this morning sponsored by CBRE, whose regional CEO, Mary Ann Tighe, is brokering the 1.7 million square feet at 7 World Trade Center, Silverstein talked about dispelling all the rumors about who would be the first major tenant. “Mary Ann and I decided this would be the perfect place to make an important announcement of our newest arrival, and our newest arrival is—Lisa just gave birth to a seven-pound baby boy on Monday the 17th. That’s our newest and most cherished arrival.” And up on the projection screen went a photo of his grandson. Well, that’s one way to make the downtown community feel positive about the future.
