Mike Allies

A reader sends in a copy of a mailing (.pdf) that appears to be from the Bloomberg campaign, complete with his campaign address and telephone number.

It touts “Mike Bloomberg and the Independence Party” who are both, it says, “Fighting Corruption and Political Bosses.”

A second page touts the Independence Party’s perennial candidate Jesse Fields, running for Borough President this time around, who has been a conduit for taxpayer funds — via the Campaign Finance Board — into the Independence Party machinery. Political-boss style, come to think of it.

Given how tight this election is, you can understand Mike’s unwillingness to distance himself from these guys.

CORRECTION: That first .pdf actually contains the cover pages of two separate mailings. Here’s the complete Bloomberg-Independence Party mailer.
