One Carpenter’s Campaign

The backers of Proposition Two were the campaign to beat at my surprisingly busy (yes, useless, anecdotal observation) polling place this morning, with a set of signs and a polite, burly carpenter from East Flatbush, Hanson James, passing out leaflets.

James, happily for the uninformed voter, had opinion on everything else on the ballot as well.

“Don’t vote for Proposition One,” he told voters. “It is very dangerous…. They will give money to communities that don’t need it and raise our taxes.”
