The Transom is thrilled to have gotten a press release today from the fine people at KMR Communications.

Their communique introduces one George Lefkovits, who is a plastic surgeon here in New York City and the master of the Brazilian Butt Fill™. This is, we are told, a procedure in which your own fat is inserted in your own ass to make it assier.

You also may be interested to learn that "buttock augmentation surgeries increased 158 percent between 2000 and 2004."

This sounds like a very exciting number!

After all, the diagnosis of primary and secondary syphilis in men grew by only 81% between 2000 and 2004. The number of seniors on the internet rose 47% in that period; cigar consumption jumped by a teeny 28%. The number of 18 to 24-year-old African Americans who identified as Democrats grew by only 20% in those sweet four years. The price of cereal grew 29%; sleeping pill prescriptions for kids aged 10 to 19 rose 85%. Workers in Kentucky found their health insurance costs increased by only a wee little 42.3%. Prosecution on federal firearms charges went up by 76%, and buying food with food stamps only went up in Indiana by 74% in those grand years.

None of these percentages is quite nearly as big as 158%. Therefore we know that Brazilian Butt Filling™ is a very very very big deal.
