“Does he look like me? Does he look like you?” Katie Kern frantically asked her husband of five years as she pushed out their firstborn after 30 hours of labor. “He looks like Grape Ape,” said hubby Chris Kern, 33, a trader at Buckingham Research on Wall Street. “I’ve never seen a baby with so much hair,” cooed Mom, 32, a speech therapist and Pilates instructor at Core Pilates in Union Square. As the weeks went by, baby Finn (a name chosen on a whim) would adopt a stylish Maddox Jolie-Pitt–like Mohawk coif; he also likes to flail his arms and feet around on the changing table in the nursery of the couple’s Darien, Conn., townhouse. “He’s already doing the hundred,” joked Mr. Kern, referring to one of the Pilates maneuvers that Ms. Kern is avoiding for now. “I need to give my body time to heal,” she said. Amen, momma!
