Since the firing of solitaire guy last week, a number of city employees across the pay scale have written in to agree with the Mayor that there might be room for other savings in city government.
But rather than picking on $30,000-a-year clerks, they suggest that the city should head to where the real savings are: six-figure managers.
Now, please don’t name names in the comments section — there’s something a little unfair about that. “The commissioner of an agency” or “one deputy mayor” seems more appropriate; if you want to attach a name, or a reporting tip, please email me or Jason at the addresses on right.
The taxpayers of the City of New York will, no doubt, thank you.
