Next Wednesday, I'll leave the Observer and The Politicker and start writing a new blog, The Daily Politics, for The New York Daily News. I'll also be writing a weekly politics column and doing more of the fun new things that the Web allows reporters to do.

I'm looking forward to my move from the sidelines of the last great American tabloid war into one of the camps. I've already got the circulation argument down (Hello! Fifty cents! Profitable!), and look forward to deepening my, er, bitter feuds with members of the Murdoch political staff.
