King Delinquent

Charlie King, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for Attorney General, is “delinquent” on his formal registration as an attorney, according to the Web site of hte state’s Office of Court Admnistration.

The state requires all lawyers to file registration papers with a $350 fee every two years. King last filed in May of 2002, according to OCA spokeswoman Mai Yee.

While basically a paperwork error, it’s an embarassing mistake for a man seeking the state’s top law-enforcement job.

King spokesman Simon Brandler emails: “The matter is being looked into and resolved.”
