The Mayor keeps dodging the question of how long Larry Silverstein has before responding to the latest Ground Zero offers. Yesterday, at Bush Terminal in Brooklyn, when asked what Silverstein’s deadline was, he began to tell reporters: “Now. And your definition of now is as good as–” and then cut himself off.
Hmmm, maybe the definition of “now” held by people who meet daily or thrice-daily deadlines is not the definition to go with.
This morning, John Gambling asked him the question twice and he started talking lawsuit. “If it stays on hold for a while we are going to fight it out in court.”
