ERICA: I’m playing phone tag with our rabbi. He’s called me four times and I’ve called him back a bunch of times, and now about a month and a half has passed and we’ve yet to speak. I’m embarrassed to admit that on two of the four phonecalls, it took me over a week to get back to him. So now I’ve managed to convince myself that he just doesn’t want to marry us anymore.
So even though it’s his turn, I’m calling again today. “Cross your fingers that we’re not getting dumped,” I say to Greg as he walks out the door.
