At a Crain’s breakfast forum this morning, Christine Quinn spoke harshly against Wal-Mart, saying that the chain store was not welcome in the Big Apple.
Here’s what the city council speaker had to say about the “bad corporate citizen.”
“I don’t want Wal-Mart here unless they change their corporate behavior. I may not succeed, but I feel comfortable in opposition.”
Apparently, Ms. Quinn was not impressed by the great pitch the company made to Staten Island residents.
