Sarah Ferguson, in this week’s Villager, reports on the Landmarks Preservation Commission’sconTuesday meeting where the future of the CHARAS/El Bohio building, at the former P.S. 64 on East Ninth Street, was debated.
It looks like it was a big turnout for the preservationist side, with many area residents and electeds’ representaives turning out. Apparantly, therte were only two speakers there who were opposed to the landmarking. The L.P.C. decided to delay its decision until June 6.
