The Post editorial page today objects to Bloomberg’s no-holds-barred endorsement of eminent domain.
Does this mean that the Post will get more involved in the imminent eminent domain battles at Atlantic Yards and Columbia University?
Bloomberg is quite right about the good that can come from restrained use of eminent domain.
But in the wake of a Supreme Court decision last year that vastly expanded government’s right to seize property, Americans – including many New Yorkers – are, correctly, worried.
Imagine, Rupert Murdoch being more nuanced than Michael R. Bloomberg!
