ERICA: I’ve decided that when my company, Paper Bride, gets big enough, and I have lots of employees and a human resources department, I’m going to offer everyone a month of wedding planning leave.
Laugh if you will, but there are sooo many things to be done in planning a wedding: meetings to be had, dresses to be twirled in, cakes to be tasted and there just is not enough time in the day.
I think a month of wedding planning leave, to be taken at a woman’s discretion (either all at once or say two days a week for several months before her wedding) would be the most amazingly wonderful employee perk in the history of mankind.
“Uhm, if you’re interested in having your company turn a profit,” Greg suggested, “this is just about the stupidest idea I’ve ever heard.”
