
Transfer pleas for the visionary use of the National City Bank of New York building at 415 Broadway, at Canal. The Art Moderne building was built in 1997 1927 [thanks Mark!] by Walker & Gillette; the bank eventually went on to become Citigroup, and its headquarters became “abused by Sbarros, Payless, and counterfit bag merchants,” after being remodeled in 1998 by Joseph Pell Lombardi.
