John Spencer, the Republican Party's designee to take on Hillary Clinton, looks considerably more relaxed than he did yesterday, when Kathleen Troia McFarland won an unexpectedly high number of votes from the delegates. Maybe that's due to all the McFarland-voting delegates that he said apologized to him last night for being "wrong."

He said that the delegates were apalled by her speech, which included an impersonation of Margeret Thatcher (British accent and all), sappy and sentimental remarks to her daughter, who is enrolled in a naval academy, and a couple of flat jokes.

"When she got the opportunity to speak, that was the best thing that ever happened for me," said Spencer.
