Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman John Adler’s call for the resignation of Attorney General Zulima Farber comes just slightly more than ten months after then-gubernatorial candidate Jon Corzine summarily rejected him for the post because of his connection to the Camden County Democratic machine. Corzine’s comments suggested that Adler, a Harvard graduate and five-term Senator, might not be qualified for the post. Several hours after the story broke in the Courier-Post, Corzine issued a statement meant to appease the Camden County Senator, saying that Adler is “eminently qualified” to be Attorney General, despite his October 13, 2005 comments.
