The Daily News reports that state energy companies have spent $13 million to lobby Albany lawmakers since 1999.

The Albany Times Union reports that Pataki “has championed the deregulation of the state’s energy market, received $316,000 in campaign contributions from energy companies from 1999 to 2006.”
