Andrew Cuomo will be in Jeanine Pirro’s backyard today to get an endorsement from the Westchester Coalition for Legal Abortion (WCLA)-Choice Matters, a group that has opposed Pirro in the past.
By focusing on abortion, Cuomo is going after whatever advantage Pirro may have among female voters. Cuomo’s supporters are arguing that Pirro changed her stance on the issue, while Pirro’s people say the whole debate boils down to the legality of late-term abortion: Cuomo supports it, Pirro doesn’t.
While Cuomo is in Westchester, Pirro is in Manhattan for an editorial board meeting with the Wall Street Journal, followed by a closed-door fundraiser and a meeting with the Log Cabin Republicans.
