Today’s Qunnipiac poll in the attorney general’s race, the first since the Pirro scandal (the one with the FBI probe) shows Jeanine Pirro trailing Andrew Cuomo 50-31 percent among registered voters.
Among women, who should theoretically be most sympathetic to Pirro’s scorned-women status, Cuomo leads 53-27 percent.
But at least people are paying attention to her.
By contrast, 79 percent of registered voters don’t know enough about John Spencer to give an opinion about him. That could change slightly when hedebates Hillary Clinton on Oct. 20. What they’ll think about him once they get to know him, as Pirro can attest, is another story.
