Here’s a scary video that you may soon be seeing more of.
It was passed along to me by someone affiliated with the organization that made the ad — along with a warning that the group might pay to air it on New York television stations if Governor-elect Eliot Spitzer proceeds with a plan , pushed by Hispanic lawmakers, to allow undocumented workers to apply for state driver’s licenses.
There are a couple of reasons to believe the threat isn’t idle.
For one, this is the same group that paid for that controversially alarmist billboard ad campaign in New Mexico last year.
Also, the video they’re talking about airing in New York was made by Stevens Reed Curcio and Potholm. That’s the firm, for those of you who may have forgotten, that created the Swift Boat ads.
