At 9 a.m. Cory Booker will speak at the Newark YMCA’s annual breakfast honoring the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

At 10:30 a.m., the Amadou Diallo Medical Center will host a forum to discuss police and community relations, on Westchester Avenue in The Bronx.

At 11 a.m., a group called the Long Island Progressive Coalition will protest outside Rep. Peter King in Massapequa Park.

At 5 p.m. Rep. Rep. Carolyn Maloney is sworn in at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens.

6 p.m., Senate Minority Leader Malcolm Smith is sworn in at the York College Performing Arts Center in Jamaica Queens.

Rudy Giuliani will attend the Pete du Pont Individual Freedom Award Dinner in Delaware.

And George McGovern will speak at the National Press Club in D.C.
