McCain to Speak at Giuliani's Club

According to two sources familiar with the event, John McCain will be the featured speaker at the annual ball of the Metropolitan Republican Club, the Manhattan-based organization where Rudy Giuliani launched his political career by announcing his run for mayor in 1989.

The ball, scheduled for May 18, doesn't have a location yet, but tickets are expected to be sold for $250.

According to one of the sources, Giuliani was invited first and declined. Then they asked McCain - who obviously saw a use opportunity to campaign in Giuliani's backyard - and he said yes.
