“Murder by the state is the same thing as murder by a civilian,” said Mike Bloomberg at a press conference at the Tweed Court House.
He was talking about his position on the death penalty in response to a question about the sentencing of Ronell Wilson for killing two police officers.
“And I don’t need the question every time there is one,” the mayor continued. “You should write it down and share it with your associates. I’m not going to change.”
In case the question comes up in the future for some reason.
Also in Bloomberg-related news, the mayor announced that he plans to veto the bill banning metal bats from high school baseball games.
