Assemblyman Herb Conaway, Jr. attended Francis Bodine’s press conference in Moorestown on Thursday, and bid “welcome” to the newly registered district 8 Democrat.
Conaway is running for re-election in neighboring district 7,along with Jack Conners. The ticket is roundedout byClinton speechwriter-turned undertaker Richard Dennison of Florence, who is challenging State Sen. Diane B. Allen.
Conaway said he is pleased to support Bodine, his Assembly colleague for the last ten years, and underscored his own and theparty’s comittment to tax relief.
He took a jab at his one of his opponents, former National Hockey League player and Philadelphia Flyers annnouncer Brian Propp of Cinnaminson. Conaway questioned what he said would likely be a significant scheduling conflict for the Republican Assembly candidate.
“Hockey season coincides with our biggest, busiesttime of the year,” said Conaway.
