Ethics Committee Meeting on Intern Incident

An Albany source called to say that the Assembly’s Ethics Committee will meet, probably after session today, to discuss the allegations of after-hours socializing between upstate Republican Assemblyman Mike Cole and a female intern.

The intern was already kicked out of the program, but it’s unclear what penalties, if any, Cole will face for breaking the rule against hanging out with interns.

The rule was enacted after a few well-publicized problems around the legislature.
