If beat-downs are any indicator, then the Flatiron District is emerging as one of the city’s most happenin’ party corridors.
According to Sunday’s New York Post, felony assaults in that part of town have spiked 18 percent since January, while danger-prone dance mecca West Chelsea has seen a 17 percent drop.
The article quotes one cop calling 21st Street “the new clubland.” Featuring such illustrious hot spots as the Sean “Diddy” Combs-owned recent crime scene Justin’s restaurant and noted Dustin Diamond hangout Porky’s, “it’s like a smaller version of 27th Street,” the cop said.
