It is always nice to buy something that has appeared in Architectural Digest. But something that made it into The New York Times’ Big Deal column this past weekend under the rubric “Piggyback Condo Faces a Legal Setback” may appeal to a different type of customer altogether.
Turns out the two Upper West Side buildings that developer Kent Swig is trying to augment with nine stories of condos, and which faithful readers of Josh Barbanel are already familiar with, are up for sale with Massey Knakal (PDF).
A tipster says the listing long predated the latest publicity. In fact, the bidding deadline is tomorrow!
Asking price is $79.6 million.
