Spitzer's Multitude

Last night’s West 26th Street fund-raiser for the state Democratic Party, featuring Eliot Spitzer, drew a decent enough crowd, according to people who were there. Andrew Cuomo showed up, as did state Senate Minority Leader Malcolm Smith, Representative Greg Meeks and Councilman David Weprin, to name a random few officials.

On the 14th Floor of the artsy space, with a view over looking Chelsea Piers, Spitzer spoke briefly, according to one attendee, but gave a seemingly heart-felt thanks that “so many” Assembly members were in attendance.

According to this source, there were exactly two: Mike Gianiaris and Mark Weprin.

I wasn’t there, so I couldn’t tell if Spitzer was joking.
