Here are Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer and Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz at a luncheon of the Lambda Independent Democrats of Brooklyn on Saturday.
At the event, Stringer explained to the crowd he had simply made a “wrong turn” and ended up there.
When I asked him afterwards whether the random presence of the Manhattan Borough President at a gathering in Brooklyn should be seen as groundwork for a run at citywide office, Stringer laughed it off.
“A wrong turn does not a citywide race make,” he said.
