What would a Mike Bloomberg campaign be without tons of colorful literature?
Here is a copy of the flier about to be sent out to 10,000 “opinion leaders” this week to help the mayor make the case for his sweeping 2030 plan.
The literature hits on the themes the mayor discussed before: global warming, green space, energy conservation and improved transportation.
The most controversial part of the mayor’s plan, congestion pricing, it gets a passing mention as a funding mechanism.
“A new bonding authority – funded by the City and State and a new congestion pricing program – will finally create a dedicated, reliable funding stream to make critical transportation projects happen. And the City will start with transit improvements in communities that currently have a higher percentage of drivers commuting to Manhattan to ensure the promise of mass transit is real for all.”
UPDATE: I should have noted in the original post that the literature is being paid for and sent out by the Campaign for New York’s Future, not City Hall.
