Bloomberg Doesn't Think He Ever Talked to Perot About National Office

Following his speech at the C40 Large Cities Climate Summit today, I asked Michael Bloomberg about that Washington Times story saying that he had been meeting with top level Ross Perot aides to get pointers about an independent candidacy in 2008.

Here's what he said:

"I don't know that I have ever met a senior adviser to Ross Perot. I know Ross Perot very well. I've skied with Ross and his son many many years ago."

He also offered this slightly stronger statement:

"I don't think I have ever had a conversation with him about national office and I certainly have never talked with any of his advisers about running for national office."
