Flower Power!

To the Editor:

I just wanted to express how much I enjoy Nancy Butkus’ gardening chronicle [“Cutting King Solomon,” May 28]. I’ve noticed how cleaned-up and beautiful that little slope in Riverside Park has looked lately and am happy to find out who is responsible.

So many people make small contributions to the city that improve the quality of life for others. To me, those stories are much more interesting than the endless chatter about celebrities.
