“I have no interest, for the record.”
That was the latest Bloomberg denial about his ambitions for higher office. This time, it was in response to the idea of running for governor, delivered during a Q&A in City Hall just now about new efforts to promote his environmental policies.
At another point in the Q&A, Bloomberg refused to take a swipe at legislative leaders who have balked at approving congestion pricing, a key component to the mayor’s environmental plan for the city.
“Shelly Silver has given us the opportunity to make the case,” said Bloomberg, who argued people shouldn’t write Silver is for or against the plan. “Shelly is willing to listen. The same thing is true for Joe Bruno. The same thing is true for Eliot Spitzer.”
