A source running around City Hall just now said that the mayor and Council Speaker have a budget deal done and a symbolic handshake on the arrangement can be expected in about an hour.

As for the fine print, keep waiting.

Last year, there was a problem with the printer and the budget was passed in the wee hours of the night. Without the benefit of much oversight. Or proof-reading.

UPDATE: The Mayor's office said there will be an announcement with Christine Quinn around 7 p.m.
