Andrew Cuomo had a fund-raiser last night in the penthouse of Le Parker Meridian Hotel last night and told the roughly 150 people that he’s finally made a huge breakthrough in Albany.
“Just last week I found the rest room,” he said jokingly, according to one attendee I spoke with.
The attendee also noted that Cuomo didn’t once mention the name of Eliot Spitzer, which is certainly a change from the frequency with which he invoked the governor’s name when he and Spitzer were running for their current offices.
And in other Cuomo fund-raising news, his new campaign committee, Cuomo 2010, has finally designated the office he’s seeking: attorney general. The office which the committee was raising funds for was initially undeclared.
