The Rudy Giuliani has been unsparing in his attacks on Democrats who he thinks don't take the threat of terrorism on American soil serious enough. He told a radio station in Iowa yesterday that the Democratic candidates are in "denial" when it comes to confronting terrorism in the post Sept. 11 world.
But what about Republican mayor Mike Bloomberg? When the current mayor was asked yesterday why he wasn't more vocal (dare one say Giuliani-like?) about the terrorist threat following the foiling of the JFK airport plot, Bloomberg said "There are lots of threats to you in the world. There's the threat of a heart attack for genetic reasons. You can't sit there and worry about everything. Get a life."
On this, a campaign aide just told me, Giuliani is declining to comment.
