Bleckner? I just met her! All the fancy folks are white-pants-ing it up out in the Hamptons this weekend … at artist Ross Bleckner’s home (the former residence of Truman Capote) in Sagaponack, where the big-hitting Diller–von Furstenberg Family Foundation (after lovebirds Barry ’n’ Diane) is hosting a cocktail party benefiting ACRIA (AIDS Community Research Initiative of America). Expect simply loads of boldface-namers, including hottie hotelier André “Uma Who?” Balazs, some Hearst-Shaws and In Style editor Martha Nelson, whose magazine is helping sponsor the event. Demi-celebrity sibling Paul Sevigny will D.J. Not too far away in Bridgehampton, the Heart of the Hamptons’ annual gala, benefiting cardiovascular research or some such, honors Wayne Isom, a doc at Weill Cornell Medical Center and New York–Presbyterian Hospital; also Peter Peterson of the Blackstone Group, along with his wife Joan Ganz Cooney, a co-creator of Sesame Street. Call us Oscar the Grouch, sweetie, but we just want to stay home tonight. Even though the only thing going on in the city are the free concerts at the (kinda fabulously lame) Fulton Street Mall. Oh, downtown Brooklyn, all of Bryant Park is laughing at us!
