9 a.m. A community car wash will be held to raise funds for a Brooklyn girl in need of a triple transplant at 18th Avenue and 71st Street in Brooklyn.

10 a.m. A community commemoration marking the anniversary of the Korean War Armistice will take place at the Korean War Veterans Memorial at Kissena Park, Rose Avenue and Parsons Boulevard, in Flushing, Queens.

10:30 a.m. Sen. Eric Adams, joined by Russian-born Assemblyman Alec Brook-Krasny and other officials, will lead a vigil and walk commemorating the life of slain Police Officer Russel Timoshenkoat the 71st Precinct, corner of Empire Boulevard and New York Avenue, in Brooklyn.

Noon. The Bronx Dominican Day Festival will take place on Clay Avenue between 173rd Street and Claremont Parkway.

1:30 p.m. Gov. Eliot Spitzer will hold a New York State Financial Control Board Meeting at 633 Third Avenue.

6:30 p.m. Democrats for New York, ACTNowNY and Drinking Liberally will host a party to watch the first Democratic National Committee-sanctioned debate taking place in Charleston, South Carolina and sponsored by YouTube/Google and CNN, at Irish Rogue, 356 West 44th Street between 8th and 9th avenues.
