11 a.m. A Midtown dentist will announce his filing of a $25 million lawsuit against Con Ed, claiming his business was hurt by the steam pipe explosion, at the Law offices of Zalman & Zchnurman, 61 Broadway.

11 a.m. The Parks Commissioner will cut the ribbon for the Harlem River Ballfields, 128th Street and Third Avenue.

11 a.m. Elected officials will tour conditions at public housing developments, beginning at the baseball field at Wagner Houses, 122nd Street between First and Second avenues.

11:30 a.m. Darfur advocates will deliver petitions and hold a vigil calling on the Chinese government to act against Darfur genocide at the Chinese Mission to the U.N., 350 East 35th Street.

1:30 p.m. The Port Authority Board will meet at Port Authority Headquarters, 225 Park Avenue South.

6:30 p.m. The Center for Reproductive Rights and the Federation of Women Lawyers will release a report on abusive conditions in Kenya's maternity wards at the New York City Bar Association, 42 West 44th Street.

7:30 p.m. The City Parks Foundation will present a spoken word event at the Central Park SummerStage, at 69th Street and Fifth Avenue.
