Poll: Cuomo Soars, Spitzer Doesn’t Sink

Most people in this recently released Marist poll think Eliot Spitzer hasn’t been forthcoming about his aides’ efforts to smear Joe Bruno, and that there should be another investigation.

But check out the job approval ratings.

The number of voters who said Spitzer is doing an excellent or good job is 47 percent, up from 43 percent in March. (Granted, it is within the poll’s margin of error of 4.5 percent.)

Go figure.

As for Andrew Cuomo, he’s doing well. His job approval rating jumped from 40 percent in March to 52 percent in the wake of the Spitzer scandal.
