Sale of Atlantic Bank Building Official

The sale of the Atlantic Bank Building at 960 Sixth Avenue is officially a done deal.

The 16-story, 99,000-square-foot property sold for $105 million on July 13, according to city records. The building sits just north of Macy’s on the corner of 35th Street and Sixth Avenue.

The New York Sun reported that the new owner plans to convert the property into (surprise, surprise) a hotel. The news of the sale was released in June.  The buyer was Milan-based Statuto Group. and the seller was New York Community Bancorp.
