Silver on Bloomberg’s Deadline

If you're an Assembly member or staffer, expect a three-day weekend.

Although Michael Bloomberg and supporters of the congestion pricing plan have said that Monday, July 16 is the deadline by which the plan must be approved in order to get $500 million in federal funding, Sheldon Silver is making it sounds less likely than ever that it’s going to happen in time.

"I think we will come back before the end of the year in session, but I do not believe it will be next Monday. Next Monday I believe is an arbitrary date.”
