<p class="MsoNormal">Lois Weiss says that Argent Ventures bought 1.3 million square feet air rights to Grand Central Terminal plus 156 miles of train track stretching from Manhattan to Duchess  County in a little noticed deal last year. It won’t affect train service, but could bulk up neighboring buildings. <p>Mysterious subterranean explosions left part of Yorkville without power for more than 11 hours yesterday, [<a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/news/2007/07/06/2007-07-06_con_ed_feels_the_heat_as_east_siders_bla.html">NY Daily News</a>]</p>
<p>And Pete Donohue points out that it will be cheaper for outer-borough residents to pay Mayor Bloomberg’s $8 fee to drive into Manhattan than it will for them to pay the $10 for a round-trip on an express bus.
