Three Men Meet, Quietly, on Congestion Pricing

The biggest opponent to congestion pricing, Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, met twice today with two of the concept’s main supporters: the governor and Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno.

The separate meetings took place in Albany around 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. respectively, according to a Silver spokesman, Dan Weiler. He said congestion pricing was just one of the issues discussed at the meetings.

As for a resolution on the issue ahead of the July 16 deadline to qualify for $500 million in federal funding — not yet.
