Bloomberg on Hillary, Lobbyists

If there’s one thing Michael Bloomberg has learned since launching his quasi-presidential non-campaign, it’s the art of maintaining his national posture without ever stepping on the toes of the junior Senator who actually is in the race.

Here’s a clip from a press conference in City Hall today announcing a contract with the detectives’ union. I asked the mayor for his thoughts on Hillary Clinton’s defense of contributions from lobbyists.

"I’m not an expert on federal campaign finance,” he said. “I guess I know something about city campaign finance, and state campaign finance."
